Class Types

Group classes provide a great opportunity to socialize your dog and teach him obedience commands in a positive and fun environment! In our class, which is designed for dogs 16 weeks and older, we concentrate on proper leadership, fixing problem behaviors, sit, down, sit stay, down stay, come, heel, and “go to your place”.

Basic Obedience Class

This 5 week class, designed for pups 16 weeks of age or older, covers proper leadership skills, sit, stay, down, come, heal, leave it, drop it, and other basic commands and problem behaviors!

Advanced Obedience /Canine Good Citizen Class

This 5 week class will help you develop your dog’s responsiveness around distractions and will lay the ground work for off leash obedience. The class will also prepare you and your furry friend for the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) exam which will be administered the 5th week of the class.

Paws Pounding Pavement: Advanced Urban training for you and your pooch

This 5 week course will meet at a variety of locations in the downtown vicinity. Each location will provide unique training opportunities where we will work on advanced commands that every dog and owner needs in typical urban environments such as leash walking through crowds, proper dog interactions, “come” when distracted, k9 manners in stores, and many more. This class will also help to prepare your dog for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test.
